Finologee partners with Gresham to bring automated depositary reconciliation to its Banking Orchestrator

Written by Gresham | 27 April 2026

27 APRIL, 2026 - London - Finologee has entered into a strategic partnership with Gresham, a global specialist in enterprise data integrity and transaction control, to integrate Gresham's Control platform into its Banking Orchestrator (formerly known as LYNKS). The collaboration delivers an end-to-end solution that streamlines the reconciliation of depositary data for insurance companies, central administrators, asset servicers, and fund managers.

Solving a real operational pain point

Managing assets across multiple custodian banks often means handling reporting data from different counterparts in different formats, on different schedules, and must be validated, reconciled, and fed into internal systems reliably, completely, and on time. This process is often handled through a combination of manual effort, spreadsheets, and legacy tooling that was never designed to scale with the complexity of today's multi-custodian environments.

The consequences are well understood. Operational risk increases, exception resolution slows down, audit trails become incomplete, and a growing gap opens between what regulators and fund boards expect in terms of oversight and what operations teams can realistically deliver with the tools at their disposal.

What the partnership addresses

By integrating Gresham's Control platform into its Banking Orchestrator, Finologee directly tackles this challenge. It automates the ingestion and validation of custodian reporting data, whether arriving as SWIFT messages, ISO 20022 files, CSV extracts, or Excel reports, and routes it through a structured reconciliation and exception management workflow before delivering clean, validated data into the client's back-office system.

The solution accommodates the reality that no two custodian banks report in exactly the same way. Mapping rules are configured per depositary, meaning that differences in format, structure, or content across counterparts are handled systematically rather than absorbed as manual workarounds by operations staff.

Where exceptions arise, and in any sufficiently complex depositary environment they will, the platform provides structured workflows to manage them consistently, with a full audit trail of every action taken.

Stronger controls, greater visibility

This partnership delivers a materially higher level of operational control. Configurable dashboards give operations and oversight teams real-time visibility into the status of positions and cash flows across custodians. Exception conditions are flagged automatically, and the investigation process from identification through to resolution is tracked and documented throughout.

For insurance companies, fund managers and asset servicers who must demonstrate to the boards, depositaries, and regulators that their operational processes are sound, this kind of traceability and structured oversight represents a significant step forward from the fragmented approaches many organisations currently rely upon.

Why this matters now

The partnership between Finologee and Gresham offers insurance companies, central administrators, asset servicers, and fund managers a practical, proven route to modernising their depositary operations, without the risk and cost of a large-scale internal development project. By combining Finologee's established expertise in bank connectivity and financial data orchestration with the operational depth of Gresham's Control platform, the solution is designed to be both immediately effective and scalable as business needs evolve.

“Banking Orchestrator was built on the principle that financial institutions should have full control over how they connect to and interact with their banking counterparts. Partnering with Gresham extends that principle into the data itself: giving our clients not just connectivity, but the confidence that every position and every cash flow is validated, reconciled and fully traceable.”

Jonathan Prince, CSO & co-founder at Finologee

“Insurance, fund administration, and asset servicing face growing volumes, complex asset classes, and increasing regulatory scrutiny. Manual processes and legacy systems can no longer keep up. Finologee’s Banking Orchestrator already sets a new standard in Luxembourg and integrating it with our Control platform creates a fully automated, end-to-end reconciliation workflow that provides strong governance and confidence in the data being used in mission critical processes. Clients can now manage multi-custodian data with high levels of automation, speed, and full traceability.”
